Vintage sterling silver channel inlaid with natural Mother of Pearl, Turquoise, and Coral. A substantial weight of silver along with an eye-catching large geometric Zuni design. The use of a hallmark or sterling stamp generally started in the 1950s to 1960s. We do not see a surge in Native American hallmarks until the 1970s and beyond. If an item is not stamped with one or the other, this does not necessarily mean the item is not made from sterling silver. Most vintage sterling silver Native American items do not have the STERLING mark or even a hallmark. Therefore testing is always advised.
